They were extremely supportive and encouraging parents throughout Wil's childhood, providing Wil with the assets that a creative child needs to accomplish a future endeavor. As a highly imaginative child, Wil pursued an array of interesting hobbies, including his love for music and the arts.
However, his life drastically changed during the '80's. During this time, he made the decision of moving to the BOOGIE DOWN BRONX, to live with his father. While living there, he began his craft into the arts. Wil passionately studied the art of graffiti. He zealously studied the craft everyday after school while sitting on a subway bench on the 145th street train station. Here, Wil subscribed whole-heartedly to the apprenticeship system common in the graffiti society. He was quick to study and replicate all the different styles he had seen painted on the train carts. From the simple bubble and squared lettering to the wild styles that even he could not understand but would capture every aspect of it in his black and white notebooks. He then acquired the tag name of "Wil 145"

In the back of the bag was a comic skit with a cartoon character whose pet dog was named "Rash." What was interesting about the dog were his eyes, the way it dropped instantly reminded Wil of his own facial features. Instantly, Wil thought that it was time for him to change his tag name to something as interesting as RASH, better yet RASH 1.
From that moment on, RASH 1 worked endlessly reappraising the notion of uniqueness and signaturing off his pieces with RASH 1. He emphasized the dynamics of lettering and its form over meaning, focusing on its shape and juxtaposition. But throughout this time, his love for the arts turned into a love for music.
At the age of twenty-two, RASH mastered his skill in the turntables. Now known as DJ RASH, he was well known as a talented, committed, music-loving DJ, and it is no wonder that simultaneously with his own recordings he worked on and released what he had always dreamed of, a mix CD which called the INTRO. Here, he worked with other big name DJ's, i.e. GBO the PRO, Double R, DJ Technic, DJ Impact, DJ Smooth Gee and many others. It was at this point that the big breakthrough came; he became top 10 of out 100 DJ's in New York City at the DMC DJ Battles. However, RASH could not make the finals due to the birth of his son Wil Jordan Jimenez.

Rashinal started designing on plain t-shirts and trucker styles hats with his own Iron-on slogans, i.e. Rashinal and Vote for Rash , which became his trademark mark for his t-shirts.
He made himself an array of shirts and hats, making himself a walking billboard of his designs. Rashinal wanted his tees to be more then just his slogan. He wanted to have a more official look. Rashinal then started adding patches on top of airbrushed graffiti and Iron-on letters. He then desired to include his collection button down shirts, blazers and shoes/sneakers.
Playing with different designs on his gear he started a unique pattern that he used on all his clothing.
