Adidas x Star Wars Stan Smith 80s Mid ‘Imperial Guard’

Originally previewed back in December, the Star Wars x adidas Originals lineup for Spring/Summer 2011 begins to see a release at select retailers. Amongst the highlights of the line is this new take on the Stan Smith 80s, done up in mid top form with a clean cut base. Take on a mostly red colorway, the kicks find their inspiration from the Imperial Guard characters in the Star Wars franchise, most evidently seen on the tongue stamp and heel accenting. For those interested, they are now available @ Barney's Co-op! Adidas is known for going HAM on it’s collections and using the Stan Smith 80′s model. Three Stripes has recently released a series of new Star Wars shoes that take ‘inspiration’ to the next level by incorporating characters into the shoe. Here we have a look at the Adidas x Star Wars Stan Smith 80s Mid Imperial Guard that features a red nubuck upper, velvet tongue and inner with the Imperial Guard mask on the back.
